FAQ

Here are the most frequently asked questions...

Why are VOS gloves tight fitting?

VOS gloves are designed to fit like a second skin. They may feel snug at first, but after a few uses they loosen slightly and mould around your hand. A tight fit improves control, feel, and hand-to-ball connection.

Why do VOS gloves use 3mm latex instead of 4mm?

We use 3mm Pro Contact latex because it’s the perfect blend of feel and grip. It brings you closer to the ball while still delivering pro-grade grip in all conditions. Thicker latex dulls feedback and hides mistakes.

What’s new in the VOS 2.0 Volt range?

The 2.0 Volt range features a better fit, easier entry, and increased mobility.

We’ve added a gusset between the thumb and first finger, plus rolled thumb, first finger, and pinky finger to keep more latex in constant contact with the ball.

What are non-grip gloves?

Non-Grip Gloves are our Training glove (VOS TRAIN).

They're a goalkeeper glove with a super slippy palm that we designed specifically for training to help improve handling and focus (as well as many other benefits).

They make any task so much more difficult which forces goalkeepers to adapt to the constraint of no-grip.

They also have a super durable palm which means they can take the damage in training whilst you save your MATCH gloves for games.

And when you put your MATCH gloves back on... wow, things feel so much easier!

Do you make fingersave gloves?

No. We don’t believe fingersaves support long-term goalkeeper development. VOS gloves are designed to promote strong hand shape, clean contact, and confidence through control.

Can I use VOS Train gloves in matches?

No. VOS Train gloves have zero grip by design. They are a training tool, not a match glove. Using them in games would be… bold. VOS Train gloves exist to make match gloves feel effortless by comparison.

How do I wash VOS match gloves?

Rinse after every use with lukewarm water. Hand wash only. No machines, no harsh detergents.Air dry naturally away from heat.

What type of latex do you use in VOS MATCH?

VOS MATCH gloves use 3mm Pro Contact latex, delivering elite-level grip with a close, second-skin feel. The thinner profile enhances ball contact and control.

Do Professional goalkeepers wear VOS gloves?

Yes. Professional goalkeepers use both VOS MATCH and VOS TRAIN gloves. In addition, several clubs use VOS TRAIN gloves across their entire goalkeeping department for daily training.

Can I use them on artificial pitches?

Yes, but we recommend using VOS MATCH gloves primarily for matches. Regular use on artificial pitches will increase wear on the latex.

For training and frequent use on artificial surfaces, VOS TRAIN gloves are the better option.

But if you are going to use VOS MATCH when training on artificial turf, keep the palms more heavily dampened than on match days. Increased contact with the ball and turf means higher friction during sessions.

Why do VOS gloves have no Gussets?

VOS gloves are designed for a close, second-skin fit. Removing gussets reduces bulk between the fingers, improves feel on the ball, and allows for a more natural hand shape when catching. This design prioritises touch, control, and responsiveness over unnecessary padding.

Are these a lightweight glove?

YES! They are one of the lightest on the market at around 90g.
