VOS Match 2.0 vs VOS Tenax — Which Match Glove Is Right for You?
Share
Both are match gloves. Both use the same premium latex. Both are built to perform. But they're not the same glove — and the difference matters depending on how you play and what you want from your hands on match day.
VOS Match 2.0 — Pure Feel. No Distractions.
The Match 2.0 is our core glove. Lightweight, minimal, and built for keepers who want to feel everything.
There's nothing unnecessary on this glove. No bulk, no extra layers, no compromise on sensitivity. The construction is clean and precise — designed to get out of the way and let your hands do the work.
If you're a keeper who prioritises touch, distribution, and direct contact with the ball, the 2.0 is built for you. It's the glove for keepers who want to feel like they're barely wearing anything at all — but with the grip and performance of a premium match glove.
It's also our most accessible match glove at £49.99, making it the natural starting point for keepers coming into the VOS range for the first time.
VOS Tenax — More Control. More Security. Same Elite Feel.
The Tenax is built for keepers who want more than pure feel. It uses the same premium latex and close-fitting construction as the Match 2.0, but adds our continuous latex fingertip construction to create a different experience on the ball.
The latex wraps further over the fingertips, creating uninterrupted contact on first touch. The result is a more reactive, claw-like grip that helps the glove wrap the ball while stabilising the fingers at the point of contact.
The Tenax isn't just more structured at the fingertips. The embossed latex strap also creates a more secure fit around the wrist, helping the glove stay locked in throughout the game.
What does that actually mean in game situations?
The Tenax feels more secure. More planted. More controlled at first contact. You still get the direct feel VOS gloves are known for, but with an added sense of control when the game gets chaotic.
If the Match 2.0 is about pure connection between hand and ball, the Tenax is about connection with extra security.
At £59.99, it's our most advanced match glove and the choice for keepers who want the most complete glove in the VOS range.
Which One Should You Choose?
The honest answer: it depends on what you want from your gloves.
Choose the VOS Match 2.0 if:
- You prioritise pure feel and sensitivity above everything else
- You want the lightest, most minimal glove possible
- You like your gloves to disappear on your hands
- You value touch and feel
Choose the VOS Tenax if:
- You want a more secure feel at first contact
- You like a glove that feels more structured around the fingertips and wrist
-
You want the ball to feel wrapped and controlled when it hits your hands
Both gloves use the same latex and the same core construction philosophy. The difference comes down to preference. If you want the purest possible feel, choose the 2.0. If you want a more secure, structured feel at first contact, choose the Tenax.
